Nixon’s old proposal–which would have covered nearly all Americans, mostly through private insurance–is a reminder that Republicans haven’t always opposed health care reform, sight unseen. Office 2007 Pro is so great!

Earlier this year, a group of former Senate majority leaders–Republicans Howard Baker and Bob Dole, along with Democrats Tom Daschle and George Mitchell–showed how that might be accomplished. The Center’s proposal had the same basic architecture as the plan Obama put forward in his presidential campaign and that congressional committees have been debating this year. Office 2007 enterprise is the expert for the office workers.
